Balaclava Park (22 weeks)

Weight at 22 weeks: 38 lbs

Mummy took me to Balaclava Park to play play. Sunshade didn't come come with us coz she no no play without her line line.

(mum: I have been taking Jaffa out to parks/beaches by himself because Sunshade still shouldn't be off-leash yet with her muscle strain.

It is great for Jaffa to be out without Sunshade because he was not nearly as confident by himself as he was when Sunshade's around. He is already a lot more confident than a week ago when I first started to take him out by himself. I have also noticed that he has picked up a lot of Sunshade's habits when she greets dogs.

Sunshade is a very dominant girl. Whenever she greets a dog, she stands very tall, her tail rarely wags (unless it's an un-neutered male of course). This is exactly how Jaffa greets dogs at first, sometimes, his hair behind his neck will even stand up. Basically, he doesn't greet dogs like a pup (unless the dog in question is Sunshade). I will have to keep an eye on this to make sure his dominance doesn't escalate into something more serious, such as aggression. However, after the initial greetings, he does play with other dogs/pups very nicely. He really is quite a gentle boy, and I am happy for it.)

There was no doggies for me to play play today, so I play played with a stick. I walk walk with mummy wherever she went, I was a good good boy.

Mummy wanted to take more more pictures, but camera batteries said no no. I said said sowie, next time!!!

(mum: does anybody know why my rechargeable batteries keep on dying??? I just bought new ones last week and they seemed to be drained already.)

(Sunshade: the answer to your question is way too easy - YOU TAKE TOOOOO MANY PICTURES!!!!)

Here are pictures of my BIG sister Sunshade when she was 22 weeks old. Sunshade was so pretty pretty.... I'm shy shy.... (Sunshade: HEY! I'm your AUNT!!!!!)

Hey Jaffa,

I see you're still growing fast! How are the teethies? Did you get to eat anything more exciting than chicken yet?

You are better than me at greeting doggies - I lie on the floor like a big girlie girl when I am on my leash! Mum despairs of me. Better than bowling them over of being agressive I say!

I can never get over how fluffy Sunshade's legs were when she was little!

I think the answer to your mum's battery problem is definitelty too much paparazzi style snapping ;-)

The lifetime of a battery is 2 years max, depending how much pictures you take (5'000...). Maybe it is time for a new one. Kiss for the beautiful Jaffa ! VĂ©ronique and Faya

Jaffa, you have so much less black fur than Mitch has! Is that because your mom groomed you already?
Mitch greets people by jumping straight up in the aire like he's on a pogo stick! Mom says she has to work on that!

Love ya lots,
Maggie

jaffa jaffa,

you look soooooooooo handsome i feel my casanova status is in danger.

tell me, how your mommy upload the photos from her camera?? don't upload using the direct link cable coz that will that 2 batteries will not live longer than 5 days! tell her to use card reader. take out her memory card and plug into the card reader. that way, the batteries will have longer life.

wet wet licks

Hi ya Jaffa,
You are one handsome devil. You look like you had a lot of fun with that stick. Glad to hear that your confidence is getting better. 22 weeks, wow! You have gotten so big, so fast. Sunshade was gorgeous @ 22 weeks, just like you...but in a different way, of course!

sunshade sure was alot bushier than you! hee hee. but i see the resemblance

i was looking through your old posts. was that a sakura tree in UBC? i saw them in Fei's blog and they are so pretty! there was one sakura tree in HM's uni last time and it was her favorite spot :)

how i greet doggies is like this: i stand, slightly leaning back with disgust, my expression is one of disgust, my tongue sticks out a little with disgust, i hrmph and turn away with disgust, you get the idea :p

love..
